Lucknow: The Madehganj Police of the Lucknow Police Commissionerate have arrested an accused involved in the kidnapping of a minor girl within 34 hours, demonstrating swift and effective police action.
According to the police, on December 21, 2025, a case was registered at Madehganj police station on the basis of a written complaint filed by the victim’s family. The complaint alleged that the accused had lured and abducted the complainant’s minor daughter. Following the complaint, FIR No. 222/2025 was registered under Sections 87 and 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the accused.
Taking the matter seriously, senior police officials constituted a special team and issued necessary directions for the immediate recovery of the victim and arrest of the accused. Acting promptly, the police team conducted intensive searches and technical surveillance, which led to the safe recovery of the minor girl.
On the same day, based on information received from a confidential informer, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Pradeep Singh, along with Sub-Inspector Vinod Kumar, arrested the accused Kabir Singh, son of Karan Singh, near GC Hospital on Satrikh Road, within the jurisdiction of Chinhat police station. The accused, aged about 22 years, was residing in a rented accommodation near City Public School on Satrikh Road.
Police officials stated that the arrest was carried out in strict compliance with the directions of the Supreme Court and the Human Rights Commission. After completing the required legal formalities, the accused is being produced before the concerned court. Further verification regarding his criminal history is underway.
